It's been a journey - moving to Sneads Ferry. I'll admit it took a while to settle in. But the longer I am here the more I appreciate everything about it. The history, the heritage, the traditions ... along with the expansion, the convenience, the always something new and interesting.
In the Articles (Blog) are my shared thoughts from living here over the last few years in which I hope to encourage a new sense of community within the province - one that embraces both the old and the rapidly changing new.
It's my way of honoring my new home by telling stories and writing articles that inspire community among people who have lived here for generations and people who may only be here a few years - because we all still have the same basic primal need for connection and community.

Our focus has become distracted, divided, and fractured by the too much of everything. Our time has become shortened, limited and scarce by the demands of everyday. Our lives have become tense, stressed and emotionalized by noise of everyone. We promise get togethers that don't happen, text messages that get misinterpreted. and hear people but don't listen.
I love that I am old ... that I can streamline my focus ... prioritize my time ... maintain a sense of discernment about the noisy world around me. It's lovely to be in this position at a time where technology allows for the sharing of stories and perspectives.
It's amazing what you can discover by listening to people and actually hearing what they are saying and understanding what they are feeling. I've always enjoyed writing. I am grateful for the opportunity. I hope you enjoy the reading.

This website is my passion project - my own courageous challenge project - to not let petty preferences annoy me or to worry about things I cannot change. But instead to wake every day and be grateful.
To look for the good that is all around me. To appreciate that every sky over Sneads Ferry is a perfect sky and to celebrate the beauty of it.
These articles, stories, interviews and points-of-view force me to become bigger than I have been and to keep a promise to myself that I will be peaceful, kind and joyful in my day-to-day.

Mission
Have you ever looked for a business or service on social media only to get lost in the sensational headlines of its algorithms that tempt you to loose your focus, run out of time, and leave before finding your solution?
Our mission is to offer an effective alternative to social media marketing / advertising for local businesses in 28460 and its immediate neighbors of Holly Ridge, Surf City, and North Topsail Beach who serve the Sneads Ferry "province".
